That is the best definition of socialism concerning the average day.

One way or another, your told or directed what to do, what to think and how to distribute your labor wealth through taxes and fees or other charges.

When your parents had you wash the car they promised you a couple of bucks or you could stay out until late.  A socialist government is the same thing.  You can drive a car if you buy a license, insure the contraption, drive safely, get the inspection, don't drive too fast or slow and never park in a red zone.  That's not freedom its oppression from the government.

What if a socialist government said you could have a free education all the way through college?  That would be great until you discover that all colleges now become government colleges designed to persuade you and not educate you.  A Socialist government will force your daughter to go pee with a guy in the same bathroom.  A Socialist government will force you to honor Sharia law of Islam while they kill all your gay friends.

You only know what you've been taught.

You can only become something that you think about.

If the government can remove what you think about they can also control your actions.

You have never been taught the actual history of the United States, with all its good and bad, because a socialist government controls history and the future.  You'll never learn about your great grandparents or grandparents beyond the dinner table thus you'll never even learn your individual actual history.

If you want to be told what to think, think socialism.

If you want to be told what doctor to attend to your needs you can vote socialism.  If you want the government to tell you to die just a little early to save money, vote socialism.

The government has power.  The government power is limited by you or expanded by you.  A socialist government will tell you not to drink too much soda or smoke a cigarette, don't drive during a snow storm, don't let your kids eat birthday cake and thousands of other mandates by government.

Your labor power is now forced from your hands into the government hands.  Your paycheck is the income stream for the government and the socialist government wants more and more.

You discovered Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton wanted and got socialist medicine in America.  You now are forced to buy something you won't need until your older but most people really don't care because you are covered under your parents health insurance plans.  But poor people, mostly people of color don't have insurance from their parents so they are forced into the socialist government plan, forced to pay, forced to live with super high insurance plans and programs while your taxes move up to pay for them.

Socialism is about taking and then re-distributing for power.

Colored people get your money.

Colored people share the same programs for free.

It's not about equality it's about the colored minority voting power that's bought and paid for by your labor dollars.
