President Obama is trying to convince Congress to
spend $3.7 Billion for "emergency" funding for the crisis of
"unaccompanied minors" crossing the border by the tens of thousands.
But the spending won't stop the crisis: It came out this week that only 1% of
that money would be spent this fiscal year. And that would be used ONLY to
settle illegal aliens into your communities.
In fact, the whole crisis is manufactured. Homeland
Security chief Jeh Johnson admits that these persons are paying smugglers to
the United States. And most of them have family -- many also illegal -- who are
already here. And they can be deported, since laws protecting unaccompanied
minors don't apply.
America is being fed a story line that most of the
Surgers are unaccompanied children fleeing violence. The truth is that most of
the Surgers are coming to the U.S. because word has gone out that the Obama
Administration will allow them to stay if they can only get here. And
everything the Administration does encourages that belief: refusing to deport
illegal aliens...pushing for a blanket amnesty....relocating Surgers into
communities across the country.
Some congressmen would help President Obama do
this. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) are sponsoring a
bill that would weaken current immigration law and help certain illegal aliens
-- even some already ordered removed -- to stay in the country. This must be
stopped. We must also block the phony emergency spending proposal. And we will
stop both of them if you help right now.
Two years ago, Obama issued a memorandum allowing
practically all illegal aliens under 31 to stay in the U.S. indefinitely. We
warned at the time that this amnesty amounted to a green light to every minor
in Latin America. The message was plain: Get to America as soon as possible!
You'll never be deported. And boy, have the minors of Central America ever got
the message.
Monday I saw a very disturbing sight-- see the
photo of me at the top of this letter. I'm standing in front of a distress
station 60 miles from the border--where masses of illegal aliens trespass on
their way north, led by the drug cartel-backed "coyotes." So, if the
travelers get in trouble, and they very often do, the Border Patrol provides
this station for them to call for help and get picked up. Look carefully at the
sign. Instructions are given in English, Spanish, of course, and Mandarin
Chinese!!!
That's right! There are so many Chinese illegal
aliens coming into America through Mexico that the U.S. Border Patrol is
putting signs in the Chinese language! The message going out to the world is
that no matter where you are from, all you need to do is arrive on the shores
of Mexico... and then the Mexican government, and our own, will help you
disperse into America. Are you getting a sense of the scope of the problem?
It's much more than just the border surge.
