Falco quickly looked for AJ Galustyan, the manager of Royal Hospitality Services Inc., his contractual employer for the next three months.
It was true. Despite expecting work from Royal Hospitality Services, Inc. for his first three months in America, Falco learned he soon would be jobless, nearly penniless and homeless in a foreign country.
Officials with Royal Hospitality, which contracts to provide local businesses them foreign workers, told Falco and his countrymen to find their own jobs and housing, Falco said.
"I couldn't believe it," Falco said. "We paid money with the idea that we would be part of a secure program. And we aren't getting what we paid for."
Inquiries into Royal Hospitality Services revealed found complaints about the New Orleans-based company had caught the attention of local officials several months ago, resulting in an investigation which labeled the company's procedures as "barely legal."
Royal Hospitality officials said earlier this week, however, the allegations are false.
"We have done everything to comply with our contracts," Samvel Narkoghosyan, Royal's president, told the Reporter-Telegram.
