Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been officially charged with criminal contempt-of-court over claims he ignored a judge’s order in a racial profiling case. The move by the federal government comes just two weeks before Arpaio stands before the voters of Maricopa County for re-election to his seventh term -Today’s high level of
illegal immigration originated during the war years of the early 1940s. Labor shortages
caused the federal government to set up a program to import Mexican laborers to
work temporarily in agriculture, primary in the Southwest. This was called the Bracero
Program. The goal was to
import foreign workers (originally thought to number in the hundreds) during
agricultural harvest and then encourage them to go home.

Senator
Hillary Clinton (D.-NY) Once said she was adamantly against illegal
immigrants. She now supports legalizing the 11 million illegal’s living in the
U.S. She has vowed to block any bill criminalizing illegal immigration,
suggested the House immigration bill would have made Jesus a criminal. As if
she has stepped foot into a church in the last 40 years! Hillary Clinton is
like a flag that flaps according to the direction of the wind.
Sen.
John McCain (R.-AZ) He once served his country with honor, but today he
leads with dishonor against our country. He's done nothing to stop the illegal
invasion in his own state, but now, he's doing everything he can to assist
illegal aliens across our country. He's the lead sponsor with Teddy Kennedy of
a bill to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. He's degraded citizenship to the
level of an illegal alien. He lacks honor and he lacks integrity for the U.S.
Constitution.

Arpaio was sued by the ACLU, the
Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and a law firm
that Eric H. Holder, Jr. works for. Holder was a partner at the firm for six
years prior to his appointment as U.S. Attorney General, and Holder returned to
the firm after he left his post as Attorney General.
Senator
Teddy Kennedy (D.-MA) He's the first O.J. Simpson! He's old, fat, drunk and
has waddled around the halls of Congress for so long and blathered about
nothing, that he's like antique plumbing: not working, stuffed up and useless.
He's co-sponsoring legislation with McCain to grant amnesty to illegal aliens
and has repeatedly supported amnesty efforts. He favors giving illegal students
amnesty and a free college education. He's the author of the 1965 Immigration
Reform Act that inundated this country with over 50 million immigrants that we
didn't need in the first place. Now, he's overseen the addition of 20 million
illegal’s that we don't want. He's going to force them down our throats anyway.
That will pave the way for millions more.
The law firm has been
reported as “a key player in the opposition to Arizona’s anti-illegal
immigration law.”
Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio, the tough-on-border issues sheriff in Arizona who sued President Obama for his executive order on amnesty, has been the target of a war by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). He has faced civil contempt of court charges for allegedly profiling illegal aliens; now he faces criminal contempt charges for violating a court order.
A court hearing was held on Tuesday, just one day before early voting begins. The 84-year-old Arpaio is on the ballot seeking a seventh term as sheriff. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) decided to charge Sheriff Arpaio with criminal contempt, according toAZCentral. The sheriff did not attend the hearing.
The
Great Depression. At the time of FDR's speech Mexicans in the Southwest were
being repatriated so they would not take jobs from American workers. (The
Mexican-born population in the United States fell from 639,000 in 1930 to
377,000 in 1940.) The sweeps in which Mexicans were rounded up lacked proper
judicial process: an undetermined number of U.S. citizens who "looked
Mexican" were also deported.
“America’s toughest sheriff” has been criticized by open border proponents for being tough on illegal aliens and illegal immigration. Maricopa County is approximately 80 miles from the Arizona-Mexico border where illegal immigration, criminal illegal aliens, human trafficking, sex trafficking, and drug trafficking endangers Arizona residents. The sheriff first took office in 1992 and while he has been reelected to an unprecedented six 4-year terms, open border proponents have worked very hard to stop him.
Although official charges have not been filled, federal district court judge Susan Bolton at the hearing on Tuesday asked federal government lawyers to write a show cause order for her to sign. She set a deadline for Wednesday. Arpaio faces contempt for violating orders in the racial-profiling case.
Fifty-three
years ago, when newly elected Dwight
Eisenhower moved into the White
House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many
as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of
several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.
President Eisenhower
cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075
United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today's force. The
operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.
Although there is
little to no record of this operation in Ike's official papers, one piece of
historic evidence indicates how he felt. In 1951, Ike wrote a letter to Sen.
William Fulbright (D) of Arkansas. The senator had just proposed that a special
commission be created by Congress to examine unethical conduct by government
officials who accepted gifts and favors in exchange for special treatment of
private individuals.
General Eisenhower,
who was gearing up for his run for the presidency, said "Amen" to
Senator Fulbright's proposal. He then quoted a report in The New York Times,
highlighting one paragraph that said: "The rise in illegal border-crossing
by Mexican 'wetbacks' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has
been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the
way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels
of the Federal Government."
