He pointed into the darkness toward the island of Cuba and told his friends that all the lights were gone.  GITMO was closed and it was closed for good as Obama and Castro had struck the deal.  You could hear the dogs barking, their restless sounds as they circled the fence line of the empty GITMO compounds.  There was a knot of anger in his chest but he kept rowing his small boat at sea and off the shores of Cuba.  Now the dogs sounded like hyenas and the tiny flames from rile shots could be seen now.  The Cuban soldiers were killing again and now the dogs went quiet too.  The Castro Communist Soldiers had killed the dogs, too much noise for the new island of peace and prosperity.
